Cleo A. Moser

June 2, 1929 - December 22, 2015

Cleo A. Moser, 86, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, December 22, at Allen Hospital Unity-Pointe.

He was born June 2, 1929, in Festina, Iowa, the son of Othmar and Theresa Moeller Moser. He attended St. Francis De Sales High School in Ossian, Iowa, and then attended Loras College.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and then attended the University of Iowa. He was employed at John Deere, Rath Packing Company, Chamberlain Manufacturing and Hinson Manufacturing. After retirement he worked at Community Services Building as a janitor and was a crossing guard for St. Edward School.

Survivors include his brother, Urban (Rose) Moser of Oelwein; and many nieces and nephews.

He wa preceded in death by his parents; and by three sisters: Ursula Dumer, Germain Dirr, and Dolores Lynch.

Services: Tuesday, December 29, at St. Edward Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted by the Waterloo Amvets Post 19 and Evansdale Amvets Post 31, assisted by the United States Army Honor Guard. Public visitation from 4-8 P.M. Monday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway where there will be a 4 P.M. rosary and 7 P.M. vigil service. Visitation also one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to St. Edward School.

Cleo loved baseball, football, and was also devoted to his nieces and nephews.
