Services:
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 320 Mulberry Street in Waterloo

Visitation:
Public visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 18 at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel, 3146 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo and an hour prior to the services on Saturday at the Church.

Cemetery:
Burial at a later date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Waterloo.

Biography--

Edward A. “Ed” Cavanaugh, age 60, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

He was born February 13, 1955, in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Robert and Helen Mennenga Cavanaugh. Ed graduated from Waterloo Columbus High School with the Class of 1973.

Ed began his working career at Rath Packing Co. and later was involved in roofing and construction. Most recently he worked for Cedar Valley Recycling. He was an avid sports fan, especially the St. Louis Rams, the Chicago White Sox and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Ed enjoyed playing cards, reading and watching old time movies. He loved to play along while watching Jeopardy.

Survivors include his parents, Robert and Helen Cavanaugh of Waterloo; four sisters, Diana (Doug) Delamore of Liberty, Missouri, Cindy Bamford, Wendy (Mark) Jordan and Becky Bulver, all of Waterloo; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a special friend, April Halverson of Waterloo.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Cavanaugh in 1978 and Daniel Cavanaugh in 2012, and by a brother-in-law, Roger Bulver in 2012.
