Karen Kay Sadler

December 5, 1941 - December 18, 2015

Karen K. Sadler, 74, died Friday, December 18, 2015 at Rosewood Estates in Waterloo.

She was born December 5, 1941 in Raymond, daughter of William and Marcella “Sally” Schmit Sadler.

Karen worked as an administrative secretary for Rath Packing, Boy Scouts, and Illinois Central Railroad (now Canadian Pacific) until retiring in 2001.

Survivors include three sisters: Mary Jo Dirks of Cedar Falls, Betty (Lou) Kroenecke of Houston, Texas and Marlys (Michael) Lotito of Estero, Fla; a brother, Bill (Mariann) Sadler of Palatine, Ill; eight nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by a bother-in-Law, Marvin Dirks; a niece, Kim Kohagen; two nephews, J.J. Sadler and Shane Simmons; and a great-niece, Kaitlyn Evens.

Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 23rd, at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Raymond. Visitation from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street., where there will be a 4 P.M. rosary and 7 P.M. vigil service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to: Cedar Valley Hospice, Blackhawk Co. Relay For Life and St. Edwards Catholic Church.
