Joseph M. Heath, 76, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Cedar Falls Health Care Center. He was born December 19, 1938 in Waterloo, Iowa the son of Merle and Helena (Neuhaulfen) Heath.

He married Janice M. Smith on March 29, 1958, in Cedar Falls. He served with the United States Marine Corp for three years. Joe worked for Rath Packing for twenty five years, owned Chickasaw Meat Processing Locker in Ionia, Iowa and owned Black Hawk Painting and Decorating, retiring in 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Janice Heath of Cedar Falls; two sons, Randy (Debbie) Heath of Des Moines and Bradley (Jennifer) Heath of Ackley; one daughter, Cindy (Rory) Martin of Scottsdale Arizona; seven grandchildren, Josh (LaTosha) Heath, Chris (Bethany) Heath, Matt (Courtney) Faux, Kim Faux, and Stephanie (Mike) Aswegan, Travis Heath and Sara Martin; twelve great grandchildren; two brothers, James (Teresa) Heath and Leo Heath, both of Cedar Falls; three sisters, Marlene Jeys of Waterloo, Phyllis Lane of Waterloo, and Connie (Jim) Taylor of Cedar Falls.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Don, Kenny, and Richard Heath; and one sister, Bernadine Nielsen.

Funeral services will be Friday, December 18, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral, with burial in Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be Thursday, December 17. 2015, at the funeral home and one hour before services on Friday. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
