Barney Ashcraft

Funeral services for Barney Ashcraft,85, of Parkview Gardens Care Center, who died of complications of his age Wednesday morning, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Locke Funeral Home.

The Reverend Sargeant Lusthoff, pastor of Calvary Bible Church of Washburn, will officiate. Burial will be in Sawyer cemetery in LaPorte City.

Mr. Ashcraft was born March 10, 1886, at Westover, Penn the son of Henry and Adeline Ashcraft.

He was married to Martha Gardner in Waterloo in 1930 and they were later divorced. He was employed by the Waterloo Concrete Company.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Betty Mathews of Walker and Mrs. Warren Jacobsen of Cedar Rapids; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters.
