Mary Kathryn "Kitty" Cunningham

February 3, 1940 - December 9, 2015

CORALVILLE, IOWA – Mary Kathryn “Kitty” Cunningham, 75, of Coralville, formerly of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, December 9, 2015, at Windmill Manor in Coralville.

She was born February 3, 1940, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of Ferdinand Michel and Geneva Maria (Gonnering) Haberer. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1957 and earned her Registered Nurse degree in 1961, from Iowa Lutheran Hospital School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse with Concerned Care and then Advocate Home Health Services, retiring in 2004.

She is survived by two brothers, Fredric (Maria) Haberer of Coralville, and Mark (Rhonda) Haberer of Cedar Falls; a brother-in-law, John Kemmerle of Payette, Idaho; five nieces: Michelle Nourski, Sara Haberer, Bethany Haberer, Bettina Golwitzer, and Kathryn Carroll; and two nephews, Michael Becerra, and Aaron Haberer.

Preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Caryl Jean Kemmerle.

Services: Saturday at Richardson Funeral Service, Cedar Falls, with burial in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation from noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
