Biography--

Paul Van Kamen, 89, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Lake Mills, Iowa, died at Covenant Medical Center on Monday, December 7, 2015.

Paul was born on December 6, 1926 in Mason City, son of Paul and Margaret (Thoe) Van Kamen.

He graduated from Lake Mills High School in 1945.

Paul married Shirley J. Hermanson August 17, 1947 in Scarville, Iowa. She died November 13, 2014.

He was a postal clerk for the Cedar Falls Post Office for 35 years until retiring in 1981.

Paul was member of St. Paul United Methodist.

He is survived by one son, John (Jacquelyn) Van Kamen of Denver, Iowa; four grandchildren; and two great‑grandchildren.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughter, Christine Van Kamen; son, David Van Kamen; and sister, Ruth Severson.
