Richard “Rick” Glenn (1949-2015)

CEDAR FALLS – Richard “Rick” Glenn, 66, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, following a long battle with cancer.

He was born August 4, 1949 in Washington, D.C., and adopted by Lewis and Phyllis (Turner) Glenn. He married Debra Heth on October 10, 1991 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls.

He graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1971 and became the Administrator of the Black Hawk County Attorney’s office, retiring in 2005.

Survived by his wife, Debbie; a son, Matthew Glenn of Cedar Falls; a brother-in-law, Elwin (Kay) Heth of Cedar Falls; and two sisters-in-law, Sandi Ocampo of Waterloo and Beverly Hill of Pahrump, Nevada; five nephews and three nieces.

Preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Jean.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Service and also for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church or Cedar Valley Hospice.

Rick was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church where he held many offices and was a faithful choir member. He was a great fan of UNI sports and supported many organizations.
