Iva June Hayes

June 5, 1927 - October 30, 2015

Iva June Hayes, 88, of Waterloo, died Friday, October 30, 2015, at The Rose.

She was born June 5, 1927, in Waterloo, the daughter of Hurst and Ada Miller Hilton. She married Russell Hayes on May 24, 1948, in Rochester, Minnesota and he died December 14, 1990.

Iva was employed as a Nurse Tech at Allen Memorial Hospital, retiring in August of 1992.

Survivors include: three sons, David (Donna) Hayes of Waterloo, Jeffrey Hayes of Raymond, and Tim (Val) Hayes of Evansdale; four daughters, Christine Johnson of Longmont, Colo, Cyrenna (Jim) Fulks, Sarah Jo Hayes Miller Dierks, and Teresa (Mike) Dolan all of Waterloo; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and a great-great grandchild, and her dog, Tiffany.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a brother, her grandson, Thadius Johnson and her son-in-law, Ted Johnson; a special friend, Pete Petersen

Services: 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, November 4, at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with inurnment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Public visitation from 3-7 P.M. Tuesday and an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
