Waterloo, Iowa – Corine M. “Corky” Kelly, 88, of Waterloo, died Thursday, November 19, at Windsor Nursing & Rehab Center, Cedar Falls.

She was born March 20, 1927 in St. Paul, Iowa, daughter of Alyoisis and Johanna Mohrfeld Holtkamp. She married John J. Kelly August 28, 1954 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Williams. He died April 8, 2011.

Corky graduated from Williams High School in 1945 and Mercy School of Nursing in Marshalltown in 1948. She worked as a registered nurse at Schoitz Hospital before she raised her children.

Survivors include two sons, Tim (Susan) Kelly of Waterloo and Pat (Tina) Kelly of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two daughters, Sue (Al) Kelly-Van Engen of Sioux Center and Resa Kelly of San Jose, California; seven grandchildren, Josh (Heather), Sean, Brian, Johanna (Sebastian), Mackenzie, Nick and Matt; two great-grandchildren, Owen and Mazie; four brothers, Richard Holtkamp (Cindy) of Omaha, Arkansas, Dan (Pam) Holtkamp of Newton, Larry (Jan) Holtkamp of Webster City and Jerry (Jan) Holtkamp of Williams; and two sisters, Laverna Larsen of Iowa City and Mary Lou (Don) Daily of Mitchell, South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by a brother, James Holtkamp; and two sisters, Betty Tjaden and Gloria Evenson.

A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with inurnment in Calvary Cemetery. Public visitation will be for one hour before services. Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church or UnityPoint Hospice.
