Greg R. Oberle, 56, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died of cancer at his home in Cedar Falls on Sunday, January 11, 2015.

He was born September 29, 1958 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Robert and Arlien (Gallogly) Oberle. Greg attended Waterloo Community Schools. After high school, he worked several jobs before joining Black Hawk Sprinklers in August of 1986. Greg retired in September of 2014 from Black Hawk Sprinklers due to health reasons.

Greg is survived by his partner, Gary Schluetter, of Cedar Falls; six brothers, Daniel (Kathy) Oberle of Texas, William Oberle of New York, Gerald Oberle of Colorado, James (Barb) Oberle of Waverly, Larry (Kathy) Oberle of Missouri and Kevin (Lori) Oberle of Waterloo; a sister, Sue, of Utah, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Donald Oberle, and three sisters; Bette Oberle and two in infancy.

Services will be Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home in Cedar Falls, with visitation until service time on Thursday.
