Frances Schrein

November 10, 1927 - March 30, 2015

Frances L. Schrein, 87, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, passed away peacefully Monday, March 30, 2015, in Cedar Falls.

She was born November 10, 1927 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Worley S. & Christine M. (Sanderson) Bunch. Frances married Raymond C. Schrein June 5, 1948, in Omaha, Nebraska. He preceded her in death November 28, 1983. She graduated from Central High School in Omaha and was a co-owner with her husband of Schrein Bedding, Inc. in Waterloo.

Survivors include children: twins Theodore (Mary) Schrein of Conroe, Texas and Jennifer (Dennis) Egel of Marion, Iowa; Timothy Schrein of Cedar Falls, Daniel (Lee) Schrein of Mooresville, North Carolina and Christina (James) Robinson of Ames, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her brother, Worley (Viola) Bunch of Payson, Arizona and two sisters, Darlene Pearson of Shenandoah, Iowa and Delores (Ralph) Brown of Fairfield, Ohio.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, half sister Dorothy Meyers and brother-in-law Melvin Pearson.

A private family gathering will be held. There will be no public services. Memorials may be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Nazareth Lutheran Church, both in Cedar Falls or the charity of your choice. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.

Frances and Ray were charter members of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls. Music brought great joy into her life –- singing, directing, playing piano, and writing songs. She also loved the nature in her own back yard. But, her family brought her the most joy. We will remember her with love.
