Fern M. Malm, 85, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at NewAldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls.

She was born April 13, 1930, in McPherson, Kansas, the daughter of Joseph & Nan (Wann) Clark. Fern married Donald Malm January 26, 1951, in McPherson. He preceded her in death November 21, 2004.

Survivors include two sons, David (Sandy) Malm of Cedar Falls and Neil (Robyn) Malm of Rochester, Minnesota; two daughters, Kathy Malm and Eileen (Rick) Crotty, both of Cedar Falls; a son-in-law, Doug (Rev. Diane) Brenneman of Wellman, Iowa; eleven grandchildren, Heather (Jeff) Klenske, Holly (Aaron) Malm-Mangel, Nicole, Joe and Will Malm, Stephanie and Sara Wyss, Maureen and Brent Brenneman, and Eric and Cassie Crotty; one great granddaughter, Audrey Malm-Mangel; two brothers, Charles (Susan) Clark and Stanley (Diana) Clark, both of Kansas; and one sister, Anna Mae (Verl) Ledy, also of Kansas.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents and husband; one daughter, Vickie Brenneman; one brother, Maurice Clark; and two sisters, Lucy Abell and Laurine Soderstrom.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2015, at Nazareth Lutheran Church with burial at Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Nazareth Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society. Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
