Biography--

Betty L. Beaudoin, 87, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, June 8, 2015, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo.

Betty was born March 15, 1928 in Cedar Falls, the daughter of Harry & Sara (Jeffers) Vaughn. She married Edward Shields April 28, 1946 in Cedar Falls and they later divorced. Betty married Bernard Beaudoin July 20, 1979 in Cedar Falls. He preceded her in death January 21, 1990. Betty graduated from Janesville High School and worked for the Cedar Falls School District for 14 years, retiring in 1990.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet (John) Zeien of La Porte City, Iowa and Jane (Pat) Rooff of Waterloo; seven grandchildren, J.J., Gable and Cooper Zeien and Angie, Christie, Sara and Emily Zeien; 12 great grandchildren, and two sisters, Ruth Krumlinde and Helen Svien, both of Cedar Falls.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four sisters, Dorothy Corwin, Grace Mills, Alice Roever and Harriet Koester.

Services will be Thursday, June 11, 2015, at Dahl-Van Hove-Schoof Funeral Home, with burial at Hillside Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be Wednesday, and one hour prior to service Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.DahlFuneralHome.com.
