Man's death
ruled suicide

The death of a 77-year-old Waterloo man whose body was found in his car Tuesday morning has been ruled a suicide.

County Medical Examiner Dr. Paul O'Keefe, who made the ruling, said Mortimer Brooks, 513 Evergreen Ave. died of carbon monoxide suffocation.

Dr. O'Keefe said Brooks' body was found in his garage about 6:30 a.m. by his wife. The doors of the garage were closed, Dr. O'Keefe said.
