Grant E. Hook, 91, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at the Western Home Communities Windhaven Assisted Living Center. He was born November 30, 1923 in Waterloo, Iowa, the son of Charles and Linnie (Brandhorst) Hook. Grant married Dorthie Skaarup on April 25, 1947 at Nazareth Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. Grant was a graduate of Hudson High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was the credit manager with Mid Continent Oil Company in Waterloo, Oklahoma and Philadelphia, and later with Tesoro Oil in San Antonio.

Grant is survived by his wife, Dorthie Hook, of Cedar Falls.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Hook.
