A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Harvest Vineyard Church in Waterloo.

Cemetery:
Private Family graveside services were held in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Biography--

Phyllis Ann Jacobsen, age 74, of Waterloo, died Saturday, November 22, 2014 at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born February 6, 1940 in Waterloo, a daughter of Fred and Lucille Schumacher Walther. Phyllis graduated from Denver (Iowa) High School and attended Pitze’s Beauty School in Waterloo. She married Alan M. Jacobsen on June 14, 1959 in Waterloo. They were later divorced.

Phyllis was a homemaker and recently attended Harvest Vineyard Church in Waterloo.

Survivors include a daughter, Mindy Scallon of Cedar Falls; three sons, Mark (Teresa) Jacobsen of Margate, FL, David Jacobsen of Colorado and Michael Jacobsen of Tampa, FL; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four siblings, Bob Walther of Gordon, TX, Lois Boysen of Springtown, TX, Ron (Linda) Walther of Cedar Falls and Marlys (Dane) Bruce of Waterloo.
She was preceded in death by her parents: a grandson, Jake Anderson; a brother, Roger Walther amd a brother-in-law, Ronnie Boysen.
