Biography--

Maxine J. (Morelock) Welcher, 78, of Waterloo, died Friday December 19, 2014 at home, of natural causes.

Maxine was born June 20, 1936 in Alden, Iowa the daughter of Milo & Mary (Turner) Neubauer. She married Donald Morelock on November 6, 1953, in Lancaster Missouri, he preceded her in death on February 1983. She married Charles Welcher on June 29, 1984 in Waterloo. He preceded Maxine in death on June 30, 2012.

She attend Hawkeye Institute of Technology and studied blue print reading.

Maxine was employed as a keypuncher at Rath Packing Company for five years, inspector at Chamberlain Manufacturing for five years, at John Deere in the reclaim expeditor department for eight years, and five years as a nurse’s aide at the Western Home in Cedar Falls, and also at Waterloo Industries.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her two husbands, and a brother, Robert Neubauer.

She is survived by three sons Michael (Julie) Morelock of Lillian AL, Robert Morelock and Steven Morelock both of Waterloo; one daughter Lisa (Steve) Conrad of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Dan (Jana) Welcher of Waterloo, and Rick (Heather) Welcher of Washburn; one step-daughter, Jackie (Steve) Woodman of Traer; and one sister Lena (Bill) Robertson of Perry, Iowa
