Biography--

Evelyn M. (Jensen) Stumme, age 90, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Waterloo, died Monday, December 22, 2014 at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Cedar Falls, following a brief illness.

Evelyn was born August 27, 1924 at home in Dike, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Anne (Christensen) Jensen. She married Paul E. Stumme on April 4, 1948 in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1999. Evelyn retired in 1988 following 20 years as bookkeeper at the Northeast Iowa Psychiatric Clinic. She was a member of Dike Danish Sisterhood Lodge 176.

Survivors include her son, Paul (Deb) Stumme of Crawford, Colorado; three daughters, Jane Tokar of Westminster, Colorado, Judy (Dan) Wiechmann of Hampton, Iowa and Mary (John) Stam of Enid, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, JoAnne (Hardy) Denham of Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
