Biography--

Daniel Allan Steege, 61, of Marshalltown, formerly of Waterloo, died at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown on Thursday, January 15, 2015, of natural causes.

He was born August 17, 1953 in Waverly, the son of DuWayne E. and Delores M. Happel Steege.

Daniel graduated from Denver High School and Gates Business College. He had worked at Goodwill Industries. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Waterloo.

Daniel is survived by his three brothers: Craig (Ann) of Crystal Lake, Illinois, David (Debra) of Evansdale, Mike of Kansas City, Missouri, and his sister: Kim (Rick) Shannon of Kansas City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
