Biography--

Gloria “Jeane” Lompe, 82, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center. She was born May 29, 1932 in Nebraska the daughter of Alfred J. and Edna (Zeilinger) Lompe Sr. She was a graduate of Waterloo West High School and also attended UNI.

Jeane worked as a Children’s Librarian at the Waterloo Public Library, where she retired in 1993.

She is survived by a brother, Ronald Lompe of Waterloo; two sisters-in-law, Bette Lompe of Waterloo and Doris Lompe of Jesup; and by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Alfred J. Lompe, Jr., Richard L. Lompe; and two sisters, Marlys Towne and Roberta Kinsdahl.
