Biography--

Christy Mae Rutter 37, of Waterloo, died suddenly Friday, May 1, 2015, at home.

Christy was born on July 1, 1977 in Iowa City to Candy Grandon. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1996 and then attended College of Hair Design. Christy had been employed at Shear Artist & Kids Curls. She married Jeremy Rutter on December 13, 2007 in Waterloo.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Anabella Rutter and one son, Sebastian Rutter, both at home; parents Dennis & Candy Moore of Waterloo; father-in-law Steve Sherwood of Waterloo; six sisters: Amanda Richards of Nevada, Michelle Tovar of Texas, Lisa Moore, Leslie Moore, and Lori Moore, all of Waterloo, and Laura Liddle also from Waterloo; five brothers David Conger, Jeremi Bruno, Arty Tovar, Dustin Rush, and Johnny Tovar, all of Waterloo. Paternal grandmothers Dorothy Moore of Waterloo and Karen Tovar; maternal grandmother Della Grandon of Waterloo, and many nieces and nepews.

Christy was preceded in death by her mother-in-law, Karla Rutter; paternal grandfather Eugene Moore; maternal grandfathers, Lynford Grandon and Feliz Tovar; and nephew Cayd Sapp.
