Biography--

Marlys Marie Gosse, 69 years of age, of Waterloo, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at UnityPoint-Allen Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

Marlys was born on May 9, 1946 in Aitkins, Minnesota to Chris and Marlys Geyer. She married Dale Gosse Sr. on October 5, 1987 in Elk Point, S.D. and they were married until Dale passed away in 1998. She met Russell John Miller in 2001 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Marlys received her GED from Hawkeye Community College. She worked at Yellow Cab in Waterloo, Iowa for eight years, Waterloo Courier for nine years and was a Caregiver for three years. She enjoyed reading, camping, collecting Angels, road trips. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

She is survived by her fiancé, Russell Miller, of Waterloo; two sons, Gary (Sandy) Gates of Waterloo, and Chris Uhlenberg of Waterloo; a daughter, Cynthia (Tony) Woodward of Cedar Falls; four step-children, Chalynne Kral of Waterloo, Brandi Miller (Mark) of Waterloo, Lawrence Miller of Cedar Falls, and Janet Patterson of Waterloo; 20 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by both parents, Chris Geyer and Marlys Geyer-Johnson; her husband, Dale Gosse Sr., son Ronald Gates Jr., and her brother David Snyder..
