Biography--

Anita Clair Brant, 89, of Waterloo, died at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

Anita was born on November 26, 1925 in rural Dumont, Iowa, daughter of Harold and Cora (Stock) Kirby. She graduated from Waterloo East High School.

Anita married Oren Ralph Brant on Apr. 29, 1951 in Fairbank, Iowa at St. John's Lutheran Church.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church for 52 years.

Anita is survived by her husband; son, Ronald Brant of Irving, Texas; daughter, Susan (Bruce) Anderson of Port Orchard, Wash.; one grandchild; brother, Lyndon Kirby of Texas; and a sister, Shirley Malnory of Denton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Sydney and Dallas Kirby.
