Biography--

Mary H. Stoelting, 69, of Waterloo, died Friday, June 26, 2015 at Unity Point Health Allen Hospital of natural causes. She was born April 14, 1946 in Waterloo the daughter of Merrill L. and Lena Marie (DeJaeger) Nelson. She married Garry Stoelting on February 14, 1965 in Washburn.

Mary retired from the Black Hawk County Courthouse working in the Probate and Clerk of Court Department for many years. She was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washburn.

She is survived by her husband Garry of Waterloo; two daughters, Christine (Shawn) Birch of Friendswood, Texas, Karen (David) Shepherd of Oceanside, California; five grandchildren, Bryce Evans, Faith Birch, Riley, Kyle and Abbey Shepherd; four brothers, Gerald (Lynn) Nelson of Waterloo; Paul (Leann) Nelson of Waterloo, Dale (Mariann) Nelson of Brooklyn, Iowa, Ronald (Bonnie) Nelson of Waterloo; one sister, Barbara (Dale) Petersen of Waterloo and one sister-in-law, Lois Nelson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Donald Nelson and two sisters, Darlene Sells and Marilyn Schuchhardt.
