Services:
Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Friendship Village Chapel.

Visitation:
5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Kearns Funeral Service Kimball Chapel.

Cemetery:
Memorial Service will be preceded by private family interment in Garden of Memories cemetery with full Military Honors.

Biography--

Dale Richard Andres, 96, of Waterloo went to be with the Lord on September 8, 2015. Dale was born March 3, 1919 in Waterloo, the son of Fredrick William & Lula Ethel (Bopp) Andres.

He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1937. Dale served in the US Army for three years during World War II in North Africa and Europe. He married Eunice Mae Ryan on February 8, 1946 in Waterloo. She preceded him in death on November 23, 2005.

Dale was employed at John Deere for 44 years, mostly as a systems analyst, retiring in 1981. Dale was known as ‘Casey’ following many years of pitching on fast pitch teams for John Deere. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church for many years, and later Kimball Avenue United Methodist Church.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Friendship Village Pavilion for their love and care for Dale.

Survived by: a daughter, Jean Andres of Muscatine; two sons, Robert (Annette) Andres of Waterloo and Dale F (Marie) Andres of Des Moines; sister, Doris Brandt of Marshalltown; brother, Ralph (Christy) Andres of Rockford, IL; Five grandchildren: Matt (Terri) Andres of Ankeny, John (Jennifer) Andres of Ankeny, Lindsey (Andy) Buck of Ames, Ashley Andres of Des Moines, Amy (Erik) Guffy of St. Paul, MN; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: his wife; parents; and a sister, Betty Cooper.
