Biography--

Dean Henry, 84, of Waterloo, died at Bartels Lutheran Retirement Community, on Saturday November 7, 2015.

Dean was born on April 5, 1931 in Waterloo, son of George and Stella (Wheeler) Henry.

He married Carol Renner in 1956 in Waterloo. They later divorced.

Dean Henry worked at Rath Packing Co. for 34 years before retiring in 1985. He also worked as a nurse’s aide at the Cedar Falls Health Care Center, the DOT for one summer, and Parkview Monuments in Oelwein for several years.

Dean served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from 1953-1955.

He is survived by: one sister, Doris Humbert of Buffalo, Minnesota; one sister-in-law, Gale Henry of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife; and two brothers, Dale and Dick Henry.
