Mark “Hippie” Weber

March 17, 1957 - February 23, 2015

Mark “Hippie” Weber was born March 17, 1957 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa; the son of Leon Weber and Dolores (Dvorsky) Russell. He (barely) graduated from Waterloo East High School with the class of 1975.

Mark was united in marriage to Dennise Lang on May 24, 1980 in Waterloo. He was employed at Performance Bodies in Cedar Falls in shipping and receiving.

Mark was most at home in the woods hunting or by a stream fishing. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge to whomever showed interest, especially his nephews, Jason and Billy. Mark loved spending time with his family, he especially treasured his grandsons dearly.

Mark died suddenly at his home on Monday, February 23, 2015 at the age of 57.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father Lloyd Russell and mother-in-law Patsy Roethler.

Mark is survived by his wife Dennise of Waterloo; a son Lucas (Crystal) Weber of Durham, North Carolina; a daughter Rebecca Weber of Waterloo; two grandsons: Aiden and Abram; his father-in-law Kenny Roethler; three sisters: Lisa (Don) Plum of Waterloo, Bev Bear of Tama and Reece McDuffee of Toledo; a brother Michael Weber (Dana) of Hampton, Minnesota and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund is being established.
