Philip Andrew Hansen

December 14, 1982 to March 28, 2015

Philip Andrew Hansen was born December 14, 1982 in Waterloo, Iowa: the son of Steve and Toni (Caughron) Hansen. He graduated from Walnut Ridge Christian Academy with the class of 2001. Philip then attended Luther College where he played football. He was employed at Bossards, Youngs and most recently at Texas Roadhouse. Philip enjoyed fishing, grilling and watching and attending Chicago Bears games with his dad. Most of all, he loved spending time with his daughter Natalie.

Philip passed away from a sudden illness on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics at the age of 32.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Larry Caughron and his aunt Vicki Caughron.

Philip is survived by his daughter Natalie Pullen of Waterloo; his parents Steve and Toni Hansen of Waterloo; paternal grandparents, Bob and Bev Hansen of Cedar Falls; maternal grandmother Mary Caughron of Waterloo; two brothers, Ryan (Yvette) Hansen of Naperville, Illinois and Jacob (Audrey Butler) Hansen of Richmond, Virginia an Uncle Scott (Kim) Hansen of Cedar Falls and three Aunts: Shari (Javier Mendez) Junker of El Paso, Texas, Lori (Kirk) Cowell of Morgantown, Pennsylvania and Theresa Caughron of Silvis, Illinois. Philip will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial fund is being set up at Veridian Credit Union for Philip’s daughter Natalie.
