Wayne Alden Baker

April 30, 1925 to April 2, 2015

Wayne Alden Baker was born April 30, 1925 in Storm Lake: the son Clarence and Mabel (Allen) Baker. After high school he entered the workforce and then was drafted into the United States Army. After leaving the military, he worked for John Deere until his retirement.

Wayne never had children, but he helped raise his nieces and nephews and loved them like they were his own. He particularly enjoyed spending time with his family, and he especially enjoyed listening to music with his great nephews.

He is survived by two sisters, Alice Leedom and Evelyn Reeves; a niece, Jennifer Hoffert; a nephew, Terry Leedom; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl, Leslie and Fred Baker; and two sisters, Hazel Geary and Florence Grieman.

Wayne was an amazing brother and uncle who will be greatly missed.
