Vickie Lee Thompson

July 28, 1952 to April 29, 2015

Vickie L. Thompson was born July 28, 1952, in Fairfield, daughter of Donald Sr. and Betty Manley Milligan. She married Roger Thompson on August 13, 1977, in Evansdale.

Vickie graduated from Orange High School in 1970. She was employed at Schoitz Hospital, Shakey’s Pizza, and retired after working 23 years at Powers Manufacturing. Vickie’s favorite job was being a Nana. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and especially being with her grandchildren-they were her SUNSHINE! She loved many, and was loved by many. We will truly miss her.

Vickie died Wednesday, April 29, at home at the age of 62.

She is preceded in death by; her parents, two sisters, Sheila DeVore, and Kathy Dulin, of Evansdale, and brother Dan Milligan.

Vickie is survived by: her husband; two sons, Jeremy (Heather), children BryAnna, Kaitlyn, Dylan; Chad (Brenda), children Libby, Laney, and Brody, of Byron, Minnesota; two brothers, Don Jr. (Sue), and Randy Milligan, of Evansdale, and brother-in-law Ron Dulin, of Evansdale; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials: may be directed to The American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Hospital, or to the family.
