Waterloo, IAJohn Joseph “Jack” Suer was born March 3, 1950 in Platteville, Wisconsin: son of Raymond and Violet (Wolf) Suer. He graduated from Waterloo East High School with the class of 1968. Jack enlisted with the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
After his discharge, he worked for the City of Waterloo. Jack moved to Texas and became a locksmith for several years. After Jack’s retirement in 2006, he returned to Waterloo. He enjoyed going out to eat, vacationing and sight seeing. Jack liked being on his computer, and had a love for his church.
Jack passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Unity Point Hospital Allen Memorial at the age of 65.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: LaVerne and Ralph.
Jack is survived by his brother Roger (Jeannette) Suer of Janesville, Wisconsin; a half-brother Bernard (Lavonne) Suer of California; two sister-in-laws: Donna Suer of Waterloo and Darlene Suer of Cross Plains, Wisconsin and a niece and nephews.
