CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Dr. Laura V. Calderwood, 61, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City,

She was born August 10, 1953, in St. Joseph, Missouri, daughter of Donald and Sarah “Katherine” (Utz) Croghan.

She earned her BS degree from Iowa State and her MD from the University of Iowa. She was a Psychiatrist with the Veteran’s Administration Clinic in Waterloo.

She is survived by a brother, William (Christine) Croghan of Mount Vernon; a niece, Anna Croghan of Iowa City; and a nephew, Connett Croghan of Iowa City.

Preceded in death by her parents.

Services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Richardson Funeral Service with visitation for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment at a later date in Sparta Cemetery, St. Joseph, Missouri.

Memorials may be directed to the SPCA, Sierra Club, Wounded Warrior, or Coty College.
