Liesa C. Bailey (1951-2015)

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Liesa C. Bailey, 63, of Cedar Falls died Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at her home.

She was born December 7, 1951 in Windom, Minnesota, daughter of Clarence and Gladys (Cameron) Brobst. She married Ed Bailey on June 26, 1976 at Sebago Lake in Maine.

She graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1970 and earned both her BA degree and MA degree in Education from the University of Northern Iowa. She was employed as a sixth grade teacher with the Waverly-Shell Rock School District for 25 years, and a member of Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls.

She is survived by her husband, Ed; a daughter, Sarah (Charles) Foster of Cedar Falls; a son, Sam (Christine) Bailey of Colorado; four grandchildren; her mother, Gladys Brobst of Cedar Falls; and four siblings: Linda (Doug) Dahl and John (Jean) Brobst, both of Minnesota; Kathy Brabender (Mike) of Wisconsin, and David (Becky) Brobst of Texas.

Memorial Services: 10:00 a.m. Saturday, MARCH 28 at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church. Family will receive friends following the service. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a brother, Jerry Brobst.

Memorials may be directed to Hartman Reserve Nature Center.
