Rick “Buzz” Burrows (1962-2015)

NEW HARTFORD, IOWA - Rick “Buzz” Burrows, 52, of New Hartford, died Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 18, 1962, in Cedar Falls, son of Dale Allen and Vila Ann (Ingalls) Burrows.

He graduated from New Hartford High School in 1981, and was employed as a machine operator with Omega Cabinetry in Waterloo.

Survived by: his mother, Vila (Doug Ahrenholz) Burrows-Ahrenholz of New Hartford; his father, Dale Burrows of Texas; two sisters, Wendy (Greg Gerloff) Burrows Gerloff of New Hartford and Debra (Chad) Lechner of Cedar Rapids; two step sisters, Violet Kelly of Cedar Rapids and Melissa (Tom) Wertz of Ionia; and a step brother, Michael (Carly) Ahrenholz of Powersville.

Preceded in death by: his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Family Directed Memorial Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at New Hartford United Methodist Church with inurnment in Beaver Grove Cemetery, New Hartford. A Celebration of Life will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the New Hartford City Park.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
