Arden “Dave” Davis (1935-2015)

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Arden “Dave” Davis, 80, of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Western Home Communities Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center.

He was born March 14, 1935, in Rochester, New York, son of Edwin A. and Frances E. (Darrow) Davis. He married Barbara Van Arsdale on June 22, 1957 in Auburn, New York.

He served in the US Army and earned his BA degree in Business from Alfred University in New York. He was an office manager with Advanced Systems, and then cost accountant with Doerfer Engineering, retiring in 1990.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Cedar Falls; two sons, Kevin (Linda) Davis of Harrison, AR, and Scott (Jane) Davis of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren: Cory, Stephanie, Chelsea, and Jeffrey Davis, Kyle and Tyler Brown.

Dave was preceded in death by a daughter, Laurie.

Memorial Services: Monday at Nazareth Evangelical Lutheran Church with private family inurnment in Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Richardson Funeral Service is assisting the family.

Memorials may be directed to Western Home Communities Foundation; Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center; or Christian Crusaders.
