James John Ritter (1939-2015)

CEDAR FALLS- James John Ritter, 75, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo.

He was born November 29, 1939, in Foley, Minnesota, son of LaVern Carl and Margaret Francis (Hennek) Ritter. He married Judith Mae Schreiber on November 7, 1964 in Oelwein, Iowa. She died May 20, 2009.

Mr. Ritter served in the Army National Guard and worked in Construction as a general laborer and foreman.

He is survived by two daughters, Kimberly (Jerod) Taylor of Hudson, and Jamie Stancer of Sun Prairie, WI; three grandchildren: Dalton Bickford, Drake Klatt and Jessica Stancer; three step grandchildren: Jacob, Eric and Nichole Taylor; and a brother, Bill (Carol) Ritter of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Allen Ritter; and a sister, Linda Ritter.

Services: 1:00 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Visitation for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
