Arthur C. Lund (1926-2015)

July 18, 1926 - October 4, 2015

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Arthur C. Lund, 89, of Cedar Falls, died Saturday, October 3, 2015, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born July 18, 1926, in Cedar Falls, son of Hans M. and Ellen J. (Pedersen) Lund. He married Ivah C. Fritz on September 10, 1950 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Cedar Falls. She died December 15th, 1998.

Mr. Lund graduated from Cedar Falls High School and Gates Business College. He served in the United States Army Artillery division as a cook during the Korean War and worked as an Accountant for businesses in the metro area. Art was active with the metro Barbershop chorus, The Cedar Falls Garden Club and NewAldaya bell ringers.

Survived by: three sons, Douglas (Jennifer) of Belvidere, IL, Larry of Albert Lea, MN, and Curtis (Angi) of Pine Bluff, WY; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Virginia) Lund of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary J. Lund; two brothers, Ernest and George Lund; and a sister, Lillian Morford.

Services: 10:30 am Saturday at NewAldaya Lifescapes Chapel, with burial in Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, both in Cedar Falls. Military Honors will be conducted by the Cedar Falls AMVETS Post #49 Honor Guard. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Richardson Funeral Service and also for one hour prior to services at the chapel.
