Obituary for Craig L. Whiteside

CEDAR FALLS, IOWA - Craig L. Whiteside, 61, of Cedar Falls, died Monday, October 19, 2015 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo, Iowa.

He was born January 12, 1954 in Cedar Falls, the son of Everett L. and Adeline Hartman Whiteside. He married Maybell Beason on March 15, 1978 in Waterloo and they later divorced.

He graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1973 and was employed by Tyson for 25 years.

He is survived by his companion, Jane Pepperling; a daughter, Becky Whiteside of Waterloo; sons, Everett (Karen) Whiteside of Evansdale, Steven (Nyoka) Pepperling of Mt. Auburn, IA, Mikal Pepperling and Dakoda Pepperling of Cedar Falls; special kids: Dustin (Hope) Boyer of Dunkerton, IA, Ben Boyer of Cedar Falls, Frank Boyer of Janesville, IA, Christin (Louie) Worthy Arlington, IA, Michael (Amanda) Preece of Waterloo, Dedo (Cassandra) Aljohar of Winona, MN, Jeremy (Amber) Meyer of Cedar Falls, Kyle (Bailey) Brandt of West Union, IA, Cody Condon of Cedar Falls, Daniel Paulson of Cedar Falls, and Mathew (Jennifer) Garrison of Cedar Falls; 14 grandchildren: Alex, Anessa, Kaylynn, Graham, Shelby, Korbin, Nora, Grayson, Chayton, Dehlila, Rylee, Ty, Gabby, and Emma; two sisters, Karen Henry of Frederika, IA, and Kristi (Dave) Wakefield of Dallas, TX; a brother, William (Kay) Whiteside of Mitchell, SD, and an aunt, Thelma (Gene) Liverence of Waverly, IA.

Preceded in death by: parents, nephew, Ryan Whiteside; and brother, Gary Whiteside.

Services: Friday at Richardson Funeral Service with visitation on Thursday. Inurnment at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery, Cedar Falls.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
