Beth R. Shafer, 74, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Saturday, December 6, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born November 25, 1940, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Nadine Larsen Secor. She married Glenn DuBois on June 20, 1972, in Akins, Minnesota.

Beth graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1959. She was employed with Walmart for 29 years, retiring in 2007.

Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Donald Shafer of Waterloo and David Shafer of Omaha; a daughter, Shelley Shafer of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, Morgan Shafer and Brian Chism; and two great grandchildren, Chris Chism and Mayslinn Chism; and a brother, Leslie (Betty) Secor of Des Moines.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway with visitation for an hour before services. Burial will be in the Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
