Leonard A. Dankenbring

July 28, 1915 - December 10, 2014

Leonard A. Dankenbring, 99, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Wednesday, December 10, at home.

He was born July 28, 1915, in Sweet Springs, Missouri, the son of Arthur F. and Wilhelmina Hinsberg Dankenbring. He married Alice M. Kusel on October 11, 1940, in Dysart and she died May 22, 2005.

Leonard was employed in farming in the Waterloo area.

Survivors include: two daughters, Janet Clark of Spring, Texas and Dorothy (Jerry) Silver of Trinity, Florida; five grandchildren, Scott (Eva) Clark, Deanna (Bryant) Thedford, Blake (Tiffany) Silver, Bryce (Stacey) Silver, and Ryan (Sheila) Silver, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Ray (Lois) Dankenbring of St. Louis, Mo. And Margaret Solon of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Preceded in death by: two brothers, Maurice Dankenbring and James “Bud” Dankenbring.

Services: Monday, December 15, at Nazareth Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls, with burial in St. Mary’s of Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Eagle Center. Public visitation from 4-7 P.M. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo. Visitation also one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
