Marjorie E. Leibe, 87, of Cedar Falls and formerly of Waterloo, died at the Western Home Communities South Cottage on Friday, October 2, 2015 from complications of Alzheimer’s disease.

Marjorie was born on February 23, 1928 in Fairbank, Iowa, the daughter of Leon and Esther Finch Paine. She graduated from Fairbank High School in 1945.

Marjorie married Richard E. Leibe on March 4, 1949 in Fairbank, Iowa; he died July 12, 2015

She primarily was a homemaker and had worked for Waterloo Community Schools at Orange Township, receiving and handling library books. She retired in 1985.

She was member of First United Methodist Church in Waterloo since 1955 and was a member of Ruth Circle.

Survived by: three daughters, Karen Hansen of Cedar Falls, Darlene (Terry) Lange of Cedar Falls, and Carol (Craig) Zanatta of Brooklyn, Iowa; four grandchildren, Tara Hansen, Chelsea Hansen, Cory (Jill) Lange, and Lori Lange; three great-grandchildren, Myra Lange, Taydom Lange, and Caleb McGuffey.

Preceded in death by: Parents; husband, and two brother, Russell and William Paine.

Services: 10:30 AM Wednesday October 7, 2015 at Locke Funeral Home

Visitation: 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Locke Funeral Home
Cemetery: Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls
