Robert C. Landau

December 18, 1937 - February 13, 2015

Dr. Robert C. Landau, 77 of Waterloo, died Friday, February 13 at Friendship Village Health Center.

He was born December 18, 1937, in Waterloo, son of Carl and Marion Miller Landau. He married Joan O’Bryon June 14, 1959, in Waterloo.

Robert graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1956 and from the University of Iowa in 1964 with a DDS degree.

He was a dentist in Waterloo for 37 years, retiring in 2000.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kevin (Jill) Landau of Mason City; a daughter, Sara (Edward) McGarvey of Buckingham; a son-in-law, Steve McIntee of Winter Haven, Fla.; six grandchildren, Cole (Megan) Landau, Jay (Gillian) McIntee, Carrin Landau, Bobby McIntee, Steven McGarvey and Justine (Drew) Hellman; five great-grandchildren, Brooke and Carl Landau, Sadie, Anthony and Aliyah McIntee and a sister, Kay (Don) Hartson of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Ann McIntee and a grandson, Sammy McIntee.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 17 at Central Christian Church with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 3 – 7 pm Monday at Hagarty–Waychoff–Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway. Visitation also for an hour before services on Tuesday at the church.

Memorials: Cedar Valley Hospice or Central Christian Music Department.
