Biography--

Lucille Anna Margarite Harn Kuhlman Knutson, 93 entered into eternal peace on February 19, 2015 at the Lake Park Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa.

First daughter born to the late Mary Rose Lamb Harn and Edward Joseph Harn, Lucille came into this world November 1, 1921 in Dunkerton, Iowa. With completion of eight grades in Dunkerton, Lucille came to Waterloo, Iowa to complete her high school education and often proudly reminded us of her athletic prowess on the basketball court. She graduated from Saint Mary’s High School in 1940. The summer before her senior year Lucille met and fell in love with Stallo Vinton Kuhlman. They married the following August.

After Stallo’s untimely death in 1950, Lucille returned to school to complete her education in nursing and worked several years in the Recovery Room at Saint Francis Hospital in Waterloo and then transferred to Allen Hospital where she worked several more years in the Emergency Room.

Retiring, Lucille met and married G. Marcus Knutson and moved to Sioux City, Iowa and then to Phoenix, Arizona. While in Arizona, Lucille went on to win blue ribbons at the Arizona State Fair for her prize wining solar sour dough and raison bread. Lucille returned to Iowa after the death of her second husband.

Devoted to her faith, Lucille served as a member of Catholic Daughters and the U.S. Catholic mission movement of the Maryknoll Fathers.

She was predeceased by her two beloved husbands, Stallo Vinton William Kuhlman, and G. Marcus Knutson, son, Raymond Paul Kuhlman, her parents Ed and Mary Harn, Sister Edna, and Brother Edward J Harn II.

Lucille leaves loving memories to be cherished by her two daughters Marcella A. Schoo of Mesa, Arizona and Pamela A. Clark of Prescott Valley, Arizona, three sons, Raleigh W. Kuhlman of Mesquite, Nevada, Vincent S. Kuhlman of Milford, Iowa and Lawrence (Larry) D. Kuhlman of Chandler, Arizona, also a loving sister, Rosemary R. Schiltz of Coon Rapids, Iowa, and a loving brother, Maurice (Dutch/Irish) J. Harn of Waterloo, Iowa, nineteen grandchildren and two step grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and two step great grand sons and three great-great grand children.
