February 15, 1943 - March 17, 2015

Nancy Ann Cole Tibbets, 72, of Evansdale, Iowa, died Tuesday, March 17 at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born February 15, 1943, in Cresco, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Mary Lucas Cole. She married Wayne Tibbets August 25, 1961 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

She was employed with Santa Claus Industries and Ben Franklin.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Tracy (Don) Baraibar of Rockwell City and Tina Tibbets Bailey of Evansdale; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Mavis Severson of Bonaparte; two uncles, Ronald Lucas of Tampa, Florida, and Lawrence Lucas of Cresco and an ex-son-in-law, Ronald Bailey of Evansdale.

Preceded in death by her mother and step-father, Mary and Joseph Zobeck; her father, Harry Cole; a sister, Marlene Matthews; three brothers, Roger, Alfred and Earl Cole; a brother and sister in infancy, Dale and Darlene Cole and a grandson, in infancy.

Nancy was a member of the Evansdale Amvets Ladies Auxiliary Post 31 and also the Evansdale Fireman’s Women’s Assoc. She loved to camp and fish and work in her yard and garden. She was loved by her family and friends.
