Biography--

Waterloo – Rosanne “Rosie” Rennie, 76, of Palmetto, Florida, formerly of Waterloo, died Wednesday, April 15 in Palmetto.

She was born July 15, 1938 in Waterloo, daughter of John and Gertrude McBeath Dignan. She married John A. Rennie May 2, 1959 in St. Paul, Minn. He died Sept. 26, 1991.

Rosie was a nurse with Covenant Medical Center.

Survived by: three sons, Patrick (Sherry) of Owosso, MI., Michael (Mona) of Kent, WA and Steven (Angela) of Sioux City; a daughter, Michelle (Kevin) Volkens of Reinbeck; eight grandchildren, Rashelle, Shane, Amanda, Jamie and Joseph, Allison, Kristin and Ryan; two step-grandchildren, Dakota and Cody; two great grandchildren, Cash and Paisley, two step great grandchildren, Gabriel and Liam; and friend, Jim Swartz.

Preceded in death by a great grandchild, Gavin.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 24 at St. Edward Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, where there will be a 4 p.m. Catholic Daughters of the Americas rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil. Visitation will continue for one hour before services at the church.

Memorials: American Diabetes Association or St. Edward Catholic Church.

Rosie really enjoyed playing any kind of card game, but especially enjoyed playing Bridge with her friends.
