Ralph Adams

June 11, 1923 - May 23, 2015

Ralph Adams, 91, of Waterloo, died Saturday, May 23, at North Crest Specialty Care.

He was born June 11, 1923 in Harmony, Wisconsin, son of Harry H. and Alla C. Miller Adams. He married Gladys Freimark January 11, 1947 in La Crosse Wis.

Ralph served with the Marines in World War II and The Korean War, reaching the rank of Corporal. He went on to work as a Special Investigator at John Deere for 25 years before retiring in 1985.

He is survived by his wife; two sons, Steven (Kay) of Holman, Wis., David (Patti) of Winfield, Kan.; a daughter, Barbara (Mark) Engel of Cedar Falls; a son-in-law, Dalton Uhde of Cedar Falls; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Hefti of LaCrosse, Wis. and Allamae Elsen of Janesville, Wis. and a sister-in-law, Laura Adams of Onalaska, Wis.

Preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sandra Uhde; two brothers, Robert and William Adams; and three sisters, Ruth Hickey, Mildred Dikeman and Gertrude Koblitz.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 6 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Washburn, with private family inurnment in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, where full military rites will be conducted by Waterloo American Legion post 138 and VFW post 1623 assisted by U.S. Marine Corp Honor Guard.

Public visitation for an hour before services at the church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway is assisting the family.

Ralph was a member of the American Legion in Waterloo, he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed woodworking and golfing.
