Larry F. Fangman

December 18, 1956 - June 3, 2015

Larry F. Fangman, 58, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, June 3, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence, as the result of a motorcycle accident in Jesup.

He was born December 18, 1956 in Waterloo, son of LeRoy and Betty Amfahr Fangman.

Larry was employed with Bertch Cabinet Company and later with Metokote Corporation.

Survivors include: his significant other, Cheryl Pencil; two daughters, Heather (Tom Peters) Fangman of Farmersburg and Melissa (Korky Wright) Fangman of Waterloo; a step-son, Andy (Melinda Brown) Anderson of Boone, a step-daughter, Coleen (Joey) Vierya of Mason City; three grandsons and three step-grandchildren; four sisters, Colleen (Dennis) Damon and Deb (Russ) Youngblut, both of Waterloo, Pat (Craig) Niedermann of Reinbeck and Kathy (Dana) Peiffer of Dike; and a brother, Rick (Marty) Fangman of Gilbertville.

Preceded in death by: his parents; and a grandson.

Services will be Monday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be on Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway and for an hour before services on Monday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Larry enjoyed softball, bowling, playing pool and R. C. Model Car Racing. He was an avid motorcycle rider.
