Kevin J. McBride, 52, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Covenant Medical Center.

He was born June 10, 1963 in Waterloo, son of William J. and Linda Smith McBride.

Kevin graduated from Waterloo Central High School in 1981, the University of Northern Iowa in 1984 and attended Iowa State University for graduate classes. He was employed at Great West Casualty Company in South Sioux City, Nebraska, as a Senior Systems Support Program/Analyst for 24 years.

Survivors include his parents of Waterloo; two brothers, Mark McBride and Shawn (Lisa) McBride both of Waterloo; a sister, Marcie (David) Cook of Rocky Mount, N.C.; a nephew, Joseph Cook of Rocky Mount, N.C. and two nieces, Kelley Cook of Rocky Mount, N.C. and Molly McBride of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by his grandparents.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday at Hagarty – Waychoff – Grarup Funeral Service, 300 West Ridgeway Ave., Waterloo, where there will be a 7 pm vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services at the church.

Memorials may be directed to Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
