Larry Lee Boleyn
March 2, 1940 - August 8, 2015
Larry Lee Boleyn, 75, of Waterloo, died Saturday, August 8, at the Martin Center of the Western Home Communities.
He was born March 2, 1940, in Aurora, the son of James and Pauline Troupe Boleyn. He married Nancy S. Himes on December 31, 1966 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Waterloo, and she died April 19, 2015.
Larry graduated from Our Lady of Victory Academy and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Interstate Baking Company in route sales, retiring in 2000. He was a court attendant with Black Hawk County from 2000-2013. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Elks Club, Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion Post 138.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael (Lisa) Boleyn of Jesup and Douglas (Nadean) Boleyn of La Porte City; a daughter, Lori Ham of Hudson; six grandchildren, Jacob, Sean, Alex, Hunter, Jordan, and Andrew; a brother, James (Donna) Boleyn of Waterloo.
Preceded in death by: his parents; a sister, Beverly Angell.
Services: Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Full military rites will be conducted at the grave by American Legion Post 138 and VFW Post 1623, assisted by the Iowa Army Honor Guard.
Public visitation on Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street where there will be a Knights of Columbus rosary. Visitation also one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
